Philosophy behind the Business Transformation Programme

The developed world is already finding it difficult to find talent. A recent study undertaken by Global HR Consultancy Manpower Inc, Talent Shortage Survey; 2007 Global Results, says 41 per cent of employers worldwide are having difficulty filling positions due to a lack of suitable talent available in their markets. The countries hit by this acute talent shortage are Costa Rica (93 per cent), the US (62 per cent), Japan (61 per cent), New Zealand (62 per cent) and EMEA (31 per cent). Talent shortage appears to be the least predicament in India (9 per cent), Ireland (17 per cent) and China (19 per cent), points out this survey.

According to Diana Farell, Director at McKinsey Global Institute, India's supply of young professionals is 1.5 times [estimated at 14 million] the size of China's, almost twice that of the U.S., and topped up by 2.5 million new graduates every year. But our HR professionals judged that only between 10% and 25% of the country's graduates would be hired by multinationals, with the proportion varying by fields of study. Many CEOs have expressed similar concerns regarding lack of management ability with mid level managers.

The huge talent shortage is evident in almost all sectors of the industry. For instance, in the IT industry, current projections indicate that by 2010, the IT industry alone may face a shortfall of 500,000 professionals, unless proactive steps are taken. A majority of these are unsuitable because they lack soft skills, particularly communication skills, which are essential for all service industries like Investment Banking, Retail, Operations & IT.

The new challenge in management education is to understand the global interdependence which further draws attention to the wider and more complex set of issues surrounding the "internationalization" of society. Global Industry needs borderless business transformation leaders who can do business through a new sign language. This new sign language is partnerships, alliances and technology. The ability to collaborate effectively is the most essential leadership skill required in today's world. Recent studies demonstrate a strong correlation between National Economic Competitiveness and the development of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs). This places a greater demand or greater demand on business leaders to ensure that their organizations harness the transformational value promised by new technologies.

Our Intention

Keeping the above in mind, Zensar Center for Business Innovation has taken formidable steps towards providing Value Added Service to its partner organization by developing successfully trained Human Resource. They have a balanced theoretical and practical approach to work efficiently in today's global business world and eventually it is these "Future Mangers" that will strive towards Business Transformation to bridge this gap. They will bring the required objectives of Domain knowledge along with its Theoretical backbone to the International working world.
